Hopefully you’ve learned your suspended chords by now! Otherwise, you won’t be able to play that cool little acoustic guitar break part. If you haven’t, don’t fret, they are easier than you might think. In the case of Dsus4 and Dsus2 chords (used in this part of Homecoming), it’s only a matter of changing one little note on the open D chord. For the Dsus4, just add your pinky to the 3rd fret of the high E (1st) string and voila, you’re playing a Dsus4. The Dsus2 is even easier, because all you have to do is lift up your 2nd finger that is holding down the 2nd fret of the high E (1st) string and play it open. Get used to moving between them and you will be able to play that part like a pro.
